Split, Croatia, continued

Our visit to Split continued with a trip to the beach. Most of the beaches were rock, but one was sand, so we camped out there for a few hours. The water was surprisingly warm and since it was a Sunday there were tons of people out. Unfortunately we didn’t apply sunscreen very evenly and both had some funky burns, but nothing too bad. After the beach we went to a cafe where Maggie impressively drank a half-liter beer. We cooked dinner in the hostel and then walked around the old town for a while. There was a group of couples ballroom dancing in one the plazas, so we stopped and watched that for awhile. All of the little groups singing throughout the town and then the dancing in the square really added character to the old town.
