Hey everyone!
We are soon wraping up our first week here in Taiwan, only one more week left!
So far it's been awesome, Everyone on our team is still loving it here.
We have so far visited a school last thursday which went really well. We got to do skits and share testamonys with the kids and had 20min with each class we visited to just talk (or attemt to talk to them, some didint know english too well) and play games with them. They really enjoyed us going to meet them. It was a long day but really worth it and we had a blast.
On friday we went and fed the homeless, cleaned the streets a little and then the pastor of the church we where helping had us go around the streets and subway area and sing to random people he lead us to. That was definatly a long and stretching day to say the least for us. It seemed like he was going to have us sing all day, but we didint and the look on some of the peoples faces made it more worth it.
Skye, Kenny and I (Paige) went to a little small group that night and shared for an hour our testamonys. It went really well and in the end we really got to be an encouragement for these women. We got a chance to pray for them and then they prayed over us. It was a really rad night.
Saturday we had the opportunity to help the Taiwan DTS raise money for their outreach. We set up a stand in a market at a christian collage. They sold baked goods and candy while we sold bracelets we made and Kenny did facepaint. It was fun getting to know the DTS studants and help them out in any way we could. We went to the Rock that night and did some worship, 2 skits and Skye, Jon and Mack shared. We all are enjoying the Rock cafe and getting to know the staff and the locals that come. Two girls from the school we shared at ended up comeing.
Sunday we went to church, very interesting consitering we don't know manderin. So at the end one of the SBS studants told us an what the message was all about. It was a really nice church and I enjoyed going.
Today was our free day! It was really nice relaxing and walking around the city. We still went to the SBS meeting in the morning for worship and prayer, someone even shared a little.
So everall this week has been really good, I can't say enough how we are in love with Taiwan and all the rad people we meet. We are slowly getting use to the heat and humidity, and also the traffic...kinda haha.
We have a limited time on the internet, but hopefully I got a good overveiw of how it's all going so far. We will not be going online during our time in China, but we will be writeing down udates to post when we get into Mongolia or Philipeans.
I will try and post one or two more update before we leave.
