On Thursday & Friday, we went out on the bookmobile. We loaded up the two pick-up trucks & made our way to the schools. We went to a school near La Flor on Thursday - Friday we went more inland (tho' I can't remember the name of the campos).
On both days, the Simmons students played a soccer game against the kids. We were tied, but I think that had more to do with the kids being nice to us than with our soccer skills!
On Saturday, we relaxed by the pool at Pelican Eyes (after helping out at the library in the morning). We took the day on Sunday to visit the beautiful Playa Majagual. We took a 30-40 min. water taxi ride at 11 am, set out our towels & spent the rest of the afternoon sleeping, swimming, sunbathing & reading. Perfect!
Monday we leave for Managua, to meet Sergio Ramirez & then the Simmons students fly back to Massachusetts on Monday. I hate to see everyone go!
