It was request from my friends mom to visit to a ceremony at a temple.
The place was Saraburi which happened to be their home town also.
The ceremony was in a temple and was basically to respect the ashes of their grandmother.
The event was well done and very expensive. The temple ceremony took almost 3 hours with a good musicians.
In evening the temple complex had movie show, live shows by local traditional dance and comedy acts and lots of eateries.
At night there was a party with booze for entire family and friends. It was as if the whole town/village had come there.
I met a monk who was very good in english, I was amazed to know that he had actually worked in construction companies before becoming monk.
