Pattaya is a beach almost 3 hours from Bangkok, there are many buses going regularly from Bangkok.
For the beach lovers, probably Pattaya is not a happening beach. There is hardly any waves and looks like River shore. The area for the beach sand is mostly covered by hotel shacks and resting seats.
This beach is good for swimming and to float. However it smells of gasoline because of the sea scooters and motor boats.
Pattaya is famous for its night life, but I had come there in afternoon and left back by evening. Typically one should stay there for 2 day, 1 night and enjoy other sight seeing in Pattaya
My intention was para-sailing and it was a good experience. After negotiation the person took me in a motor boat to a mid sea, temporary platform. they made me wear the jacket to hold the parachute.
Before the flight, they stamp my backend with glow ink, I didnt knew why.
This is normally done at Disco theque but could not understand the reason here. Before flight they asked me whether I would like to have a dip in sea and they explained me. I was thrilled and immediately went for it.
A fast motor boat circles the platform and a rope is hooked on jacket. At once I was in mid air and was amazing experience high up the sea. At one moment they stopped towing and I came down and went into the sea. I was almost 7-8 feet deep in sea and then again the motor boat started and pulled me in air.......amazing experience.
