I just came back from Morocco with my husband and we really liked it there. We have took the ferry from Spain, Algecieras to Tanger. In Tanger we took the overnight train to Marrakech. Travel by train in Morocco is very easy and very comfortable.
However for our Sahara expedition we hire a tour. We booked our trip with Your-Morocco-Tour and had an absolutely amazing time. We travel through the Atlas Mountains, visiting Aitbenhaddou to Ouarzazate, next day we headed to this beautiful gorge Dades. On our third day we start going south towards the desert. We spend a night in the tents by the dunes of Lihoudi. Next day we took our camel ride for about 3 hours to M'hamid and from them we travel to AMAZING dunes of Erg Chegaga. Wow! There were so beautiful, so high. We spend another night in the tent but had a fantastic night. We sat by the fire with some other tourist and local Nomads. They sang and drum their songs. They made a sand bread for us and a mint tea made right on the fire. I will never forget that night, the sky was full of so many stars. It was just amazing. Then travelling back to Marrakech through the sand dunes. I had so much trust and believe in our driver Abdou not to get stuck in the sand.
I want to say Thank you to Jana at Your Morocco Tour for preparing the fantastic trip for us. And also to Abdou our driver who we love, because every day he made us laugh so much.
