Capital City... or is it a town?

Vientiane is the smallest capital city I've ever visited, it's much more like a town... This isn't necessarily a bad thing because you can walk everywhere and see pretty much everything in about two days!

There isn't actually that much to see in Vientiane, plenty of temples of course but we're still a bit temple'd out. They have a Lao version of the Arc de Triumph which we went up and there were some excellent views of the city and there's a lovely fountain, which isn't always on, but we sat around most afternoons for a bit of chill out times.

We were there three days in total and that was quite enough, we'd run out of things to see and do so we decided to take a mammoth 24hr bus journey to Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam...
