|  | | Sucre to Santa Cruz | | | | | I am getting too old to be sleeping in airports but more on that later. Speaking of airports this was a little weird. The airport in Sucre was open but I was the only one there for about two hours. Granted this is not O’Hare but there was not a soul. No security, no workers, no one. So I did what I always wanted to do. I stripped naked and ran up and down the aisles singing songs to The Sound of Music . It might be on airport video somewhere.
So now I am in Santa Cruz and have an international flight at 5:00 am. It is 8:00 pm and I need to be at the airport at 3:00 am so this is why I am spending the night here. I can’t be bothered getting a cab to hotel and then getting up at 2:00 am. 2 am is for sleeping or watching porn. Not for hailing cabs. I am still naked but this place is crowded.
Fortunately the chairs look pretty comfortable and there are four in a row with no armrest so it looks like I should be able to sleep. Good thing because as soon as I get to Sao Paulo I have a 16 hour bus ride. Not so bad because you can get sleeper seats. Kind of like business class on an airplane. They even serve wine. I think they use monkeys for waiters.
