Yes, it's true, it's even hotter here but we're braving through it! We walked about 9km to a cave temple in the hottest part of the day (it didn't look that far on the map) but it was worth it - John said it was the best temple he's seen so far because it wasn't particularly grand but it was natural (and empty and cool after the long walk). Then we walked even further to the Bridge over the River Kwai and took some photo's and walked across it. We've visited the tiger temple which wasn't as horrific as we thought it would be, the tigers are well treated and loved by the monks. It was kinda exciting to stroke them - pictures will be online soon! We've also visited the Erawan waterfalls, making record breaking time of half an hour to get to the top (it takes most people an hour apparently!). It was really nice swimming in the pool at the top with an ozzy couple we've met until the hordes of tourists and then the mosquito's joined us so we moved on to the lower pools. We then went over to Hell Fire Pass, traveled on the Death Railway and the Bridge over the river Kwai again and there was a train crossing it this time so we didn't venture too far! It was unbelievable what the POWs had to do, we were exhausted just looking around in the midday heat but they were tortured and had to work so hard, i don't know how they did it! We're heading up to Chiang Mai next to brave a cooking course perhaps, in even worse heat apparently!! Chat to you soon xx
