We arrived at our Hotel, which was well located in a central position, in Adelaide at about 9am. Our room was not ready so we went off exploring. We came across! A Street Craft Market, which was very interesting and Gareth managed to replace his sunglasses, which he lost in Heathrow! In the afternoon we caught the Tram, which stopped just outside our hotel, to Glenelg a very nice beach resort, which Gareth labelled ‘for the young’ not quite sure what he was doing there then, but Eleanor and me just fitted in fine. While we was walking down the Pier in Glenelg we saw a Dolphin just swimming backwards and forwards under the Pier.
We walked through North Adelaide, through the Park and along the river; Adelaide is a very green city with plenty of open spaces within walking distance of the city centre. My favourite part of the holiday so far – we went to Clelland Wildlife Park, where we all got to cuddle a Koala and feed Kangaroos I’m not sure who was more excited here me or Eleanor.
A three day drive now to Melboure via The Great Ocean Road apparently a sight not to be missed.
