Safari - Day 10

Up at 6am for a long first day with the Adventure Tours company: RiversFiji. We met up in Pacific Harbour and boarded our off-road bus to head inland for some white water rafting!

All 5 of use squeezed in a boat along with a Fijian boy who was 'in charge' this mostly consisted of diving in off the boat and splashing us on purpose with his oar. As you can hopefully see from the pictures the rapids were great and the landscape, like the ravines we passed through, were amazing. I only fell out of the boat once when we hit a really big rock, which was quite a good record compared with some people! We stopped for lunch at the Massage Waterfall but standing underneath it was more like being beaten than massaged.

We were back in our hotel in Pacific Harbour by early evening where we packed everything we would need for two days into waterproof bags. Bring on Nakavikaa village tomorrow!
