I'm going to Russia next! I'm going in February, from February 9th-19th.
While I was at the conference in California, I happened to meet a lady named Debbie Bryson. And she happened to be a woman's speaker all across the US, and the world! She told me about a trip to Russia that the Calvary Chapel Church Planting Mission was leading, and that there was still time for me to go if I was interested. I would need verse confirmation from the Lord, and would need to prepare quickly since many little steps were involved (like getting invitation from Russian consolate, then getting a Russian visa, and airfare, etc). I had been praying about missions opportunities for the winter/spring of 08-09, and this was defnitely an open door from the Lord. I quickly got verse confirmation and contacted CCCPM about what I would need to do to make the trip possible.
I will be in Russia from February 9th-19th, and during the trip, the team will be leading several women's conferences throughout Russia, and we will also be working in many orphanages. Everyone on the team will have a special job, and they placed me as the assistant to the lady who is in charge of visiting the many many orphanages in Moscow, and working with the orphans there. So, I will be going with her to all the orphanages, and assisting her while working with the orphans a lot myself; I'm very very excited about that!!!
