So on to Iguacu. The 23 hour bus ride there wasn't actually as bad as we were expecting. In fact it went pretty well which bodes well for the 27 hour one coming up. What's 4 more little hours?
The accommodation was the best yet due to the breakfast spread which we successfully managed to pilfer for lunch too. The falls themselves were spectacular. The first glimpse through the trees was impressive enough but that wasn't even the main 'Devil's Throat' Fall. While I was trying to photograph the falls and generally being impressed with the natural phenomenom before me, Ross was busy looking for tree sloths and lizards!
There are only a couple of pictures of the two of us due to our 'official photographer'! Basically, the first person we asked to take a photo of us was a very kindly old Brazilian lady who couldn't take photos very well. The first one she took of us, she managed to miss us out completely and took a picture of the falls instead!! Very nice thanks, but I just took one of that myself. After that, whenever we tried to ask anyone else further round, she kept popping up and insisting she take the photo. Bemused people just handed the camera over to her and walked off. We were not destined to get many photos of the two of us that day. One time she manged to get a lovely picture of some railings for us! We may have more luck on the Argentinian side.........................
