Next stop Noosa, Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie over 7 days – numerous Aussies have told us that coastal Queensland has the best beaches in the World. After seeing these places we doubt anyone would disagree. You simply cannot tire of the sheer beauty of the staggering scenery. It is jaw-dropping stuff.
Noosa however was Carolines personal favourite. It had a perfect mix of a lovely river area on one side with lovely upmarket shops and restaurants one street back from a very picturesque beach. There was no Macdonalds, KFC, Dominos or traffic lights galore. Just a beautiful family resort backed by a huge National Park.
We decide we need some chill time and immediately settle down to some beach action and some liquid refreshment interspersed with the odd ‘cultural’ visit to redeem ourselves. They are those types of place - relaxed, unhurried and demand your (effortless) time. One thing they all have in common is that they are wonderfully clean and well kept and everyone is friendly and wants to chat.
