Hello everyone, or should I say Hola !! I am back in Spanish speaking mode again ... being in Spain I suppose that should be no surprise.
Well, last you heard from me I was in Dubrovnik, Croatia - I was due to be there for a couple of weeks but my plan changed. It was cold, it was expensive and it was shut. Well, sort of, not a lot to do in the middle of February. Mind you, beautiful from what I saw and I think I will return in warmer weather and ideally on 2 wheels ! So, I decided to leave early, my original flight out of Dubrovnik was to Madrid but via Gatwick (would have been very strange to be back home for a few hours) before heading on to Spain.
I managed to get a different flight back into Heathrow and basically I was back in England for a week - sort of incognito though, I didnīt do any massive "Iīm home" announcement as I was going to be off again in a week so I just hung around in Alanīs flat for the week dealing with the very strange feeling of being "back home". I did, however, manage to meet up with Gill which was great - felt like I hadnīt been away !
Then the BIG REUNION was imminent ... my beloved bike was calling me ... oh, and I was going to see my mum and dad too ! So I flew down to Murcia where my dad met me (havenīt seen him since Ecuador) and we returned here to Huercal Overa.
Now people have a go at Hondas, saying they are too boring because they are so reliable - nowt wrong with that I say, my bike, which hasnīt been started, never mind ridden for over 17 months just needed a new battery and that was it, started no problem and after a few checks here and there I was off down to San Juan - woohoo !! Iīve got my bike back !
I was planning on going home via Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany and France however having looked at weather forecasts and having just received an email from Radka who tells me that the Czech Rep is very WHITE at the moment I have changed my plan again ! I donīt have any of my winter bike clothes here so Iīm going to head straight back to England in a few days - go and see my friends and then Iīll do a European tour later in the year once the weather improves a bit ... I think I may take in Croatia too !
So, really, thatīs it - I will do one final entry on here when I return home with a few final photos !
