Dear dedicated readers and followers of the installments of the great South East Asian adventure,
This is nearly the final word from us as our adventure has but 1 day left in it, the journey home!
In short (because I haven't packed my bag yet):
Cambodia border - mildly eventful
Thailand - expected more from Amazing Thailand but got to live rachels dream on Phi Phi Island all the same
Hong Kong - Not bad for our 1.5hr stay
China - good shopping for a day, bad english - bad chickens
Macau - 6c-9c temperature, raining, snowing(well nearly!) but always good to catch up and bludge off family
This however won't be our last installment, we've so much to tell you, but for now we leave you with our top 3 travel tips we've learnt over the past 4 weeks:
3: Toilet paper is your friend and squatting might be good for your bowels but not for your clothes, hands, nose, eyes or hygiene!
2: Just because you know where you want to get to, doesn't mean the taxi driver does, so tell the bastard to turn on the meter, he ain't getting more money than what you agreed on and "wait a sec, you just missed our hotel......."
1: Never travel with too many clothes in your bag, you're sure to buy more, always have small change and make sure you have an open mind when you set foot in anothers persons country because they are thinking exactly the same thing as you are "where did these werdos come from!!"
STOP PRESS: New Number 1: Don't be fooled by the chicken trying to get you to cross the road, all his mates on the other side have the flu aswell!
Best wishes, our prologue is to follow in the next week (promise!)
