We arrived in Siem Reap on Jan 23rd after a 6 6 hour bus ride. On the bus we met a girl who was in the Peace Corp and had a weekend off so she was traveling around. The conversation was very insightful because she informed us a lot about life in Cambodia and how she is immersed in the culture here.
She gave us a good idea to head to the Popular Guest house where we could find rooms as cheap as 3 dollars. The next morning we had to be up at 4:30 am to catch the sunrise at Angkor Watt. The temples were incredible and truly an amazing site. Within the 1st 2 hours Daniel was throwing up our Indian dinner the night before, so he had to head back early. Christine and I continued exploring the various temples until almost 3 in the afternoon. It was an amazing day. We got back to see Daniel ill, and unable hold down liquids or food, so the next 2 days we took it easy and recovered. In Siem Reap, Daniel and I realized we had been traveling to fast, and doing to much, we decided to spend a few extra days resting before our next leg Thailand and Malasyasia. On Tuesday 27th, we left for the Thai border.
