|  | | India Week 2 | | | | | Yep so in week 2 we left the village and headed for Mumbai. This was about two weeks after the 26/11 attacks on that big city. Things were interesting there. Never seen so many police in such a small area. We frequently ate at Leopold's Cafe - one of the places to be hit. Great food and it was full of people, but reasonable spooky. It still had the bullet holes in the walls and windows. We left a donation for the families of the staff who were killed.
We really liked Mumbai in all its madness. It's a big city; there are more people living in Mumbai's slums than there are people in greater London! Anyway amongst all the people and sensory overload we found plenty to do. We would have been lost without our Lonely Planet book.
We also managed to connect with the Ganda parents at the airport and hole up in a fancy hotel for a couple of nights of comfort. Then we all headed south in search of coconut palms...
