I started out my day like usual, with George and Sarah. We had class with Paddy at 10:00AM. Every class that we have begins at 10:00AM. Afterwards, we met at 1:00PM in front of the People’s Story, which is a museum of the Edinburgh social history of the Scottish people. It was very interesting. We made our way across the street to the Edinburgh Museum. That was so nice because they had many items on display, such as utensils used by the architect of New Town, machines used in printing, paintings, models of what Edinburgh used to look like, etc. We made our way down the street towards Holyrood Palace to see the new Parliament building. I had to take a picture of the Palace and everyone knows why. It is not just because I love castles either. LOL The new Parliament building is amazing. Many people here say that a crazy Spaniard created it. LOL That always makes me laugh. The design is very interesting though. It is supposed to open in September 2004. Parliament will in July, move in August and be ready by September. LOL Many people doubt this, but the Minister is cracking down where it counts, especially with the construction workers. The visiting center there was really awesome because they had wood models of what each room of the building will look like, what the original designs were, what other concepts were considered in the design process, etc. It was amazing. It took us right up next to the mound, which is so beautiful. It is so green and I love it. Afterwards, Sarah and I were hungry, so we gave in and went to Subway. What a great day though.
