Last day in Sweden

2008-12-02, Eskilstuna, Sweden

The day started gloomy and wet. Fortunately not a lot had been planned on this last day in Sweden, just pottering around Eskilstuna. Our first excursion into the heavy rain was to the local retail park to look around the shops there. It is always fascinating to wander through supermarkets in other countries to see what the local people eat. This passed an hour or so, then a wet walk back to the flat for a little lunch. After lunch we walked into Eskilstuna centre to look around the shops there. The rain was too heavy at times to take many pictures unfortunately. It is days like today that you realise you have a small hole in your shoes! Nice though wandering around Eskilstuna was, it was decided to head back to the flat to dry out before heading for something to eat and then the airport for the return journey. We would be taking the return flight from Västerås (pronounced Vesterose) airport and as the retail park was on the way it was decided to go there for our final meal in Sweden.

Formalities at the small airport were soon sorted and after a beer in the departure lounge it was time to board the plane back to the UK. Hopefully it wont be too long before I return to Sweden.
