So the year of 2009 is about 12 days old. I have decided that this year is the year that I will rock out in Peace Corps Dominican Republic. This will also be the last year I'll be in the Peace Corps. So I have a lot of work planned out for me. I hope that I can start a new teens group and working with mothers to get them to better their nutrition and health promotion skills.
I also would like to start a reforestation with my town. I am also going to start a penpal program with students in my town and students in the U.S. I hope that it will be fun and useful in some sort.
The weather here is continually hot. When I first got off the plane, the humidty and heat HIT me and it was midnight. I couldn't believe it.
I am also meeting more people, volunteers and Domincans. It's a lot of fun.
But other than that, I think that the everything is pretty calm here. There's not much to report. I think that that will change once the work starts picking up.
