Koh Tao

2008-12-20, Koh Tao, Thailand

The ferry crossing to Koh Tao was really rough. Karen had to go out of the back of the boat and, inside the boat, the staff ran out of vomit bags... it was all pretty grim.

With Christmas just days away, we decided it would be nice to decorate our room(s). So, demonstrating our craft skills that come from either being a primary school teacher or brought up by one, we created a Christmas tree out of green card and Christmas crackers (complete with tailor made hats and jokes)! We decorated the tree with some tinsel and fairy lights we had bought in Chiang Mai and were very pleased with our efforts!

We spent the days relaxing on the beaches and snorkelling - there was some excellent snorkelling just off one of the beaches. The sea was full of bright, yellow coloured fish and dazzling greeny, blue parrot fish (which are the only ones I knew the name of)!
