A different Christmas

2008-12-24, Odder, Denmark

Christmas! An entirely new set of traditions. For a start the main celebration is the 24th... And the food! We made some traditional things (red cabbage, caramelised potatoes, risalamande) and one not-so-traditional (celeriac and nut roast). It was excellent. Also, note the proliferation of candles! You don't get them so much in Oz - we get quite a few Total Fire Ban days that time of year...

It was wonderful. I have new mittens. BLUE-GREEN MITTENS, I TELL YOU.
