On the 24th October 2008 Ireland played Australia in the International Rules series at the Subiaco Oval and naturally we were there to show our support. I am sure some of you seen the game at home (did anyone see us on the RTE news??) and what a game it was. Tense the whole way through to the point where I thought my heart was going to stop. None of us could face going back to work Monday if Ireland were to lose. Luckily we won, a fantastic game all round. Needless to say much celebration was partaken in, I think you could have heard the singing coming from Rosie O’Grady’s pub in the wee hours of the morning over in Sydney. The second game of the series was held in Melbourne the following week, which again Ireland won.
Championey, Championey, ole, ole, ole!
