We have been in Malawi for a couple days. Lots of sitting on the beach, it's very hot and humid here. Worse yet, until today into Zambia, but back to that in a minute. Getting quite a tan quickly, both of us. Black Mambo was killed in our camp. Yikes. We play stupid bar games here, like Jenga. Wicked tourney. Lake Malawi is a beautiful freshwater lake. Everyone else is not so used to it as we are used to BIG freshwater lakes in Canada. Went for a village walk and visited the school and hospital, pretty good health programs as they were immunizing when we were there. So many happy children, it is unbelievable. All drilled wells in Malawi are Canadian drilled. Pretty proud feeling. Jan had an awesome afternoon, one on one horseback ride through the countryside and down the beach and even went swimming in the lake with her horse. We were going to upload a few pictures, but it's not working once again. She was very ecstatic about her ride. We upgraded from our tent to a room, which was okay, but the electricity ran into the taps and electrocuted you when you used it. We were told to wear our grounding flip flops in the shower. All beer in Malawi is Carlsberg. Different kinds, like Elephant, Special Brew, etc. Sue has met a friend I will be meeting up with again in Madagascar on the same project with Blue Ventures, which is quickly approaching. I was looking at airline tickets once again. We have come into Zambia on a couple long drives. Very big spiders at camp last night. We're both really well, no illnesses, and I know Jan is starting look forward to coming home. We will try pics again in Livingstone, where the Victoria Falls are. We love to hear in the guestbook so keep on writing. Love Sue and Jan
