When I was a little boy (yes, I have been small)and heard words like Katmandu and Bangkok, it felt so exotic and unreachable. Yesterday I flew from Bangkok to Katmandu, a dream has come thru. My first impression of Katmandu was: so many people so little space, and what is that smell?
When I woke up today in our hotelroom, with AC and TV (hardcore? NOT!)and went down to the street, it felt much better. I realy like this town. It is so cheap and the people are friendly. There is only one big problem, everybody tries to cheat you, but I am very streetsmart so I have only been cheted twice so far. First when we choosed hotell at the airport, they sad one price but ofcourse that was wrong when we came to the hotel. And today when we cutted our hair, they sad it will cost 80ruphi, but after he told us that the price was 360R, because he had gave us 3 minutes massage!!!!
Tomorrow we will go on the Jomsom trekking from Pokahora. It will take us about 18 days, so you have to wait for pictures. But I have a new camera now. I hope everything is just great at home and I can tell you that it would be great to have some notes in the guestbook when we come back from the mountains. Now I am going to call my mum and dad on the phone.
