Yesterday seemed like it was going to be a bummer because I was planning on wasting away in a coffee shop, catching up on ASC journals. But when I got home from service placement, Heidi invited me to tag along with her, Dave, and Garry for an afternoon at the beach. I decided to go, and it was great. My lips tasted like salt, and my arms smelled like sunblock for the rest of the day.
We played frisbee in the water, and I read about globalization on a beach towel.
Then we went out for gelato last night with a few other Australian Flovians, which was also lovely.
And strangely productive, too. Work & play.
These people are great.
Today it's raining, and I'm spending the afternoon investigating Communist propaganda at the Olympic Park.
