Well, after living and working for nearly one and a half year in Edinburgh, Scotland it is time to move on to pastures new.
My time in Scotland has been rewarding in many ways but frustrating in others, as it always seems to be when you stay in another country for an extended period of time.
After enjoying a peaceful traditional Christmas and New Years celebration in the heart of the Swedish countryside (and adding a few kilos to my weight) the real adventure will start on the 14th when I leave for Gatwick to catch the plane to Dubai and then off to New Delhi.
I imagine it will be hard to acclimatise. Not so much from rainy and drizzly Scottish weather to Swedish winter cold, but to go from the Swedish -10„a C to the heat and moist climate of India (even though this time of year Delhi is as it¡¦s best). But in saying that I used to work in a cold store for ice cream in the middle of the summer so I should be quiet used to going from one extreme to the other.
I will get back to you all when I touchdown in Delhi.
