Well this will be my last entry as I leave India tomorrow. I'm back in Delhi and have spent the past few days enjoying the sunshine, the noticable lack of rain, and most importantly, the shopping! Turns out I came back here just in time for the end of season sales - fantastic!
Leaving Dharamsala was really tough, the ladies at work held a leaving lunch for me and gave me some lovely presents, which was really nice of them. My group of friends and I also had a leaving dinner, and a leaving lunch on the day I left so by the time I got on the bus to Delhi I was feeling quite emotional! The bus journey was pretty awful, it's 12hrs overnight and the first part takes you back down the mountains so it's very bumpy.
I've had an amazing time here in India and I would recommend anyone to come and see the country, i'll certainly be back as soon as I can to see the south and places like Darjeeling that I didn't manage this time. I hope you've enjoyed reading my blog and it helped paint a picture of some of my experiences here. I haven't been able to include more than a fraction of the stories I have to tell (ask me about the monkey in my room!!) but some of you will no doubt be bored by them at some point in the near future - in a pub hopefully, I haven't had a drop of alchohol in nearly 3 months!!
