So, there's been a slight change in plans. A couple of weeks ago, I got an email from Roadtrip Nation basically saying that they misplaced all of my information and went ahead with their fall hiring process. They hired a few people, and I wasn't one of them.
I spent a few days freaking out because, naturally, I was unemployed. Not a good time. A few days later, I came across the Girls on the Run Chicago website and an internship posting for a Special Events Intern. I spent some time fixing up my resume and cover letter and sent them off...
Instead of traveling the country this fall in a 30-foot RV, I'll be Girls on the Run Chicago's Special Events Intern! I might update a few times, but no need to stay on your toes about my big adventures. Well, there will be big adventures, just not in the way we all expected.
Anyway, here is my updated calendar of events heading into the fall...
August 15-16: Watch my man Michael Phelps dominate the Olympics (and then wait anxiously for him to propose once he returns home)
August 16: Nick and Lisa's wedding
August 18-28: Visit my parents and cat in Texas
September 8: First day at Girls on the Run Chicago!
