Today we got up early and made our way to the church in bluefields where our service was last night. Most of the boys spent the day building a large cinderblock wall that will be part of the bathroom. It was a new experience for all of us, but a lot of fun and the cement mud mixture was flying and we all were quite dirty. All of the girls spent the day painting the fence out front. It was a tall rod iron fence and other than running out of paint and not being able to finish all of it, it looked good. You can find a picture of the wall we did as well as a picture of some of the girls trying to get the paint off of them with turpentine. Today is Lorelyn's birthday and she doesn't know it yet, but we ordered a cake from a local bakery here and plan to celebrate her tonight at dinner. What a way to spend a birthday! Im sure this is one she'll never forget. Tonight we are heading back to the church for dinner and then off in the morning to corn island. More to come...
