Kas, pronounced Cash is nothing like Patara. I am back to touristy Turkey and no beach. The price of accommodation is higher than everywhere else I have previously been to in Turkey and I still can’t work out why? I certainly wouldn’t recommend it.
Never mind, I have still enjoyed my 4 days here, been lazy around the pool, been out on a diving boat for the day but decided to only snorkel as diving is expensive too, plus there is so little to see.
Tomorrow I am off to Olympos to stay in a tree house by the sea at Bayrum’s Treehouses funnily enough. At 45 YTL (£19) a night for dinner, bed and breakfast I can’t complain, mind you I will be sharing communal showers and toilets but I can live with that as long as I have the privacy of my own room.
I have been to the supermarket today and stocked up on some red wine and olives to take with me, prices are high I hear!
Oh and for the first time during my travels I have done some washing by hand! OK, OK I know I am being extravagant but can you believe the pension I am staying at wanted 15YTL (£6.50) for one load!! Bugger that for a game of soldiers………….
Not sure how long I will be staying in Olympos or if they have internet connect but I will update as soon as I can.
