Wow, it has been a while since I wrote anything on here, its taken me weeks to work this website out again! Just a quick note to see if everyone is picking up these stories. I have just returned from an interesting trip to our cosy western neighbour. Must say I've never been inclined to explore my home soil too much, but if it meant spending some quality time with my long lost (and suffering) family, I'm game! Plus I had the crazy notion climbing Mount Snowdon might prepare me for the mammoth task of trekking through the Andes - ha! Anyway, after a gentle (uh-hm) trek through some gorgeous waterfalls - yes actually through one of them - we decided to ramp up the climbing muscles and scale all 1,085 meters of rock. My brave mum took one look at the ramp leading to the mountain and decided enough was enough, but we all trouped on, my cousin storming ahead, and me thinking i'm so super fit, really chugging most of the way up! I see now why they call it 'breath-taking'! All good fun though, I can confidently claim that one in my name and can now shit my pants in the knowledge that that was a pebble compared to what I'm volunteering for next week!
Oh and I must add my high ropes adventures to this, scaling a 40m pole and scrambling onto a wobbling platform, leaping 4 foot into the air to grab hold of a suspended trapeze, feeling immense pride at my feat, only to be told to let it go so they can get me down! Bit of an anti-climax, but didn't stop me doing it again!
Well guys take care and my next post, internet connection dependent, will be from Peru! Start those stretches!
