Hi Everyone,
Sorry I haven't updated for a while - didn't mean to worry anybody (Dewey), but didn't have wireless access for a few days.
Last Saturday we left Hill City, SD and headed towards Glendive, MT. We stopped in Sturgis to see the preparations for the rally and then on the road in extreme heat, but was OK as we were getting close to Montana. Battled winds from Baker to Wibaux, but arrived safely and were excited as Randy and Linda rode to Wibaux to ride into Glendive with us. Was fabulous!
We then spent from Saturday through Tuesday at our eastern Montana home with the Baldwins. We were fed like royalty, spoiled like little brats, and visited to our hearts' content. Thank you LInda and Randy for your hospitality - we had such a wonderful time. I was blessed to be able to visit with friends and have great one on one time with very special people. Dawn, Connie, Becky, Ray - you are all blessings in my life and I am so happy we had time together. We met new friends - Julie & JIm and was so fun getting to know you both. We made beautiful memories in eastern Montana for sure - will update pix if I ever find the power cord to do so.
Wednesday, through tears, we left Glendive and rode to Bozeman - 386 miles, but it was a great ride with plenty of breaks for stretching. We saw elk out in a field east of Billlings - unbelievable. The weather was good - not quite so hot, so made it nice. We had some wind and road construction, but took it easy and did just fine. We are both very happy to be in Montana and realize that we may have taken some of the beauty of this great state for granted in the past. Not so now - even the sage brush is a welcome sight. The skies, the sunsets and sunrises, the cool morning air and the true Montana folks are making our hearts full of gratitude that we are able to be on this trip and take it all into our hearts and souls.
Today we are going to attend Rick's nephew's wedding and the whole Marks clan is here which another leg of our trip we have been anxiously awaiting. So good to see our family and gather for such a joyous occasion. Will be here until tomorrow and then will head for Helena.
Rick just found the power cord so will get some pictures on the site right after we go hot-tubbing. Our muscles need a little pampering.
