Family and friends,

Wanted to send a quick update on where I’m at in the world and to let you know of the adventure that is ahead. I'm writing this quickly at 2am in the morning and have plans to get up at 8am.....so, this will be quick.

First backing up a bit...

Israel Graduation

My time in Israel was amazing! This was one of the best times I've had there. I was able to arrive in Israel 10 days before the teams arrive. This allowed me ample time to get caught up on emails, updates and other preparations for graduation before the 6 teams arrived in Jerusalem. There was much for me to prepare logistically for the tours, graduation dinner/ceremony, debrief/re-entry lectures and staff debrief. Our base director Chris and his wife joined me for the end of the 10 days and led the first week of tours.

Additionally, I was able to be apart of the ministry at the House of Prayer in Jerusalem. It was privilege to get to know and make friends with the staff at Succat Hallel (Jerusalem house of prayer) and be apart of round-the-clock 24/7 prayer and worship on Mt. Zion. One of our outreach teams and I were able to share testimonies of what God is doing in with our ministry in New Zealand and around the world.

Post DTS travel....

Currently, I am traveling with a good friend of mine Eric Demeter. We plan to travel together until the end of August, which we then we both head back home for Indiana. Traveling after DTS is something I always look forward to as a time of rest, contemplation, leisure travel and time away from the large responsibilities of DTS leading. I have been blessed to have friends around the world that can host us and make traveling a bit easier on the budget.

For the last week Eric and I have been in Bern, Switzerland staying with friends from last years DTS. We have enjoyed the city of Bern and seeing our friends again in their home country. Most of our days have been spent relaxing, seeing some of the city, floating down the ATTA RIver and BBQ-ing at the park.

BUT....there is more of Switzerland yet to come!! As of today Eric and I have rented hybrid Mt. bikes for a week (at a surprisingly reasonable rate) and plan to bike across the South West corner of the country to the North East corner!! This is a route that should take about 10 days to complete and it will pass by 9 of the main lakes in Switzerland accompanied by stunning views of the Alps along the way. The whole trip could end up being around 370miles, with varing forms of terrain and grades. We plan to leave tomorrow and will be trusting God for safety, provision of places to stay, energy, and adventures in faith. So...please keep us in your prayers! I’m really excited about this journey we are about to embark and fully expect God to do amazing things as we go out!

It’s now 3 a.m. and I need to get some sleep for the adventure ahead. I will keep you guys posted.

Much love,

Jeremy
