We spend a wonderful 10 days in Jakarta with our friends Scott and Sarah. They have a fantastic massive house complete with a driver, swimming pool, pool table and maid - it really was 5 star accommodation! We arrived at 11.30am and by 12 o'clock we had an ice cold beer in our hands in the car, courtesy of Scott! Poor Sarah had to work unlike the rest of us but that didn't stop her joining in our beer time antics!
We spent most days chilling by their pool and most nights, well every second night, with beers and great company and one night of pool playing until 2.30am by which time we had all forgotten which balls we should be aiming for! On more than one occasion we embarked on some midnight swimming, mainly involving "slide acrobatics'! Lots of bruises followed the following mornings. Scott made the most amazing cocktails - really missing them!!
We went to the most surreal cinema complex in Jakarta which has actual beds, duvets, pillows and best of all we were served with wine! As a result of this it was the best movie ever!!!!!
We were very sad to have to leave as we had such a great time there, mainly due to the great hospitality Scott and Sarah showed us, it was like a home from home and just what we needed. They really are the Bomb Digity!! We did contemplate turning back and just never leaving but I think Immigration might have had something to say about that!!
Overall, fantastic time in Jakarta and would go back in a minute!!
