Dahab part 5
We were in the bus for almost nine hours today. It was horrible...the bus had been traded for a smaller one, as two of our members had decided to stay a few more days. The bus was hot, cramped, and very uncomfortable. I was a bit grumpy by the time we arrived in Cairo.
We stayed at the same hotel. The reception insisted on checking to see if Ian and I had a double bed, even though we hadn't asked. One man even went upstairs to our room to check. He assured us that we had a double bed. When we got to our room, we had three single beds, and our bathroom was even larger this time than the first room we'd stayed in! We were only there for a night and didn't really mind, but did find it amusing that they made such a big deal about double beds and then giving us a triple!
After a quick dinner, a small group of us met on the roof of our hotel for drinks. We chatted, especially to Georgie about her experiences as a tour guide, for hours. I was sad to be leaving Egypt in the morning.
