Whewy! We had a great time in the Lord today at the deaf house. About three weeks ago, we were able to purchase some sound equipment for the deaf house. I know what your thinking - "What does the deaf need with SOUND equipment?", right. Actually its a really awesome thing, because the main idea behind the equipment was the subwoofer. When we crank up the music with the subwoofer, they can FEEL the beat of the music, and when it is cranked up real loud (which it is), some of the deaf can even hear the music a little bit. Having said all that to say, it has been great the past couple of weeks because we are able to teach the deaf about worship. And getting to witness them experiencing this is a pretty incredible gift.
Today, we had an incredible time of worship, and I was able to finally speak a message that had been on my heart a few weeks now about running the race. We had a good time, the funniest thing, during the message, I was pulling out the different weights from my bag, and before I was pulling a particular weight out I told them that they might want to close their eyes. Well,,, they took me serious. So here is all the deaf with their eyes closed or covered, lol, and I had to stop the message, because they are deaf and could not hear me, lol, it was the funniest thing. After 30 seconds or so, I had some peekers, and I could finally carry on. It was a hoot! It all went really good, and I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to minister. May God continue to use me while I am here, and even still, as far as that goes.
Im runing a race, and my eyes are on the finish line. I've come too far to turn back now!
