After my regular day off(better night off) on every Tuesday, I went to Heraklion on Wednesday with a group of friends - Gabriel(Romania), Irina and Renata(Lithuania).

Everything happened so unexpectedly. Last night when I went out after midnight to see if anyone isn't out I met Alen, Romanian guy and later other fellows. Then I got an invitation if I don't feel like going to Heraklion next day. Sure, I told I'm going with you. The only thing was that I got to my bed just at 5am and we're arranged to meet up at 11am at Casablanka. It's a place where my friends stay, here on Crete, in Stalis.

You know, now I'm used to go to sleep at 8am, so when I got to my bed at 5am I wasn't able to fall asleep, it took me minutes to managed it. And then I slept poor 2-3hours because someone had to swept a "terrace" in front of my window doing terrible noise. Moreover, guests in the restaurant were doing terrible noise as well so I had to wake up and prepare a little bit for a trip and then went to eat my breakfast. It would crack you up if you see me eating my breakfast. I was the only male in the canteen which was full of fat ugly old greek female cleaners! plus they were smoking of course...but that's nothing special here. Greeks smoke during every breakfast, lunch or dinner. They eat and then smoke and I hate it!

Having finished my breakfast I went to my room to collect my rucksack and decided to go to our meeting point. Because I had enough extra time I went to see a bus timetable at a bus shelter. It wasn't necessary because later it showed off that we're not going to take regular Minoan bus line but we're going to go by hotel's microbus, free of charge. Let me explain it this to you: the majority of employees of this hotel live in Heraklion and because of that there is this hotel's microbus which go several times per day to pick up employees from Heraklion to Stalis and back. And because we're hotel's employees we could travel by this microbus free of charge that's fantastic because it means that I can go to Heraklion whenever I want and often I want because it doesn't cost me an euro cent! I like it!

Our trip was rather short because our guide Gabriel who is here for a second time went to Heraklion especially to go for shopping. Despite this fact I saw the most important places there and next time I might be able to go alone or with someone else.

We took there also several photos which I hope will be uploaded very very soon. We saw the main square and the old port as well and some pedestrian areas.

Hmm...nothing special happened there, so now I don't have anything to write....this is the end.

Next entry: Animals....uploaded
