HIGHLIGHTS from my visit with the Far East Team in Central Asia
1. Being back in Central Asia once again and being able to speak/practice a little bit of the language.
2. Hanging out with the All American Far East team and getting to know them better was definitely a highlight. Being able to spend time with the team and encourage members through discussing what their experiences have taught them thus far and talking through any challenges experienced. It was a good time of being encouraged and to encourage.
3. Watching Jessica get an elephant massage!
4. Attending several small gatherings with some of the locals.
5. Hanging out on the local university campus and playing basketball with the students. Its been a while since I’ve played. I met some really cool people this way. I also enjoyed watching Carter and Eric get schooled by the local students.
6. Hanging out with and meeting students at the English corners on campus. This is a time for the local students to talk with foreigners and practice their English. Its basically a time to sit and share life for a couple hours.
7. Once again…getting to know the FEA team more was a blast and staying with Carter and Eric in the same hotel room provided plenty of entertainment!
Now it’s off to see the SEA 2 team in Malaysia!!
