One thing that I can tell you about the people in Costa Rica is that is that the people LOVE the weekends and holidays……. they can throw down with the best of them. I have had the opportunity to frequent some of the local haunts with my brothers….and it is one hell of an experience. For the most part, clubs/bars/discotechs are relatively the same as the states……except for one difference…..and that is the ratio of men to women is seriously flawed. The ratio has to be at least 5 to one (guy to girl) on any given night. If you see a sign that says “Lady’s Night”……it might as well read “There will be more dick in here per square foot tomorrow night that you can possibly imagine!!” And as I am sure as everyone knows….when a bunch of dudes get together (in any country) that can only mean unusually high levels of testosterone for everyone to enjoy. Normally, this type of situation is overwhelmingly annoying…..but it is actually kind of fun to sit back and watch all the guys clammer over the sparse number of women that actually show up. In addition, there are a large number of English speaking women here so most of the locals have tried to memorize a number of pickup lines..…but they are never just quite right…… Since I have been here, I have heard the following pickup lines:
“Hey baby, you are so fine, I would like to lick my ass.”
“Why don’t you come over to my mom’s house so that I can suck my toes.”
“Are your clothes dry or would you like to take them off now?”
“My car has its own stereo, would we like to go and listen?”
“You are so fine when you sweat like that”
“I have my own bedroom at my parents’ house”
These lines were much funnier when the came out with a very heavy Spanish accent………
Many nights it can get super hectic in some of the bars. There is a prostitute at one of the bars that is pigeon- toed (I am not bullshitting here) and not really that blessed when it comes to facial features…….but I swear that I saw her turn at least 4 tricks during one evening………and that is how I came up with the saying “It is so busy here, even a pigeon-toed hooker could turn tricks.”
