Hi all! Another day in lovely sunny Tokyo - you wouldnt know it was winter - today was 13 degrees C and I was walking around Shibuya without even a jersey on! Last night I was taken out for dinner with Mrs Nosaka and her daughter Kagumi and Hamish, to a lovely Chinese restaurant in Aobadai - and most of the menu was, of course, seafood related. Most of you will know my very strong aversion to all things sea-ish and supposedly edible, but I have made a new resolution to try everything at least once, no matter what it is, and so I did! And surprised myself very much by finding that I really enjoyed the crab soup, whole cooked prawns/ shrimp (self-shelled), and scallops!!! Hooray for me! And even the brown dishwater...I mean chicken soup!!!:) Funny story. So then I spent a lovely night in another japanese style room on a futon, before Mrs Nosaka served me pancakes for breakfast!!!! Did I mention how amazing Japanese hospitality is? I spent most of the day in Shibuya doing mesesages, and then went to school. Ariel and I are about to go to an absolutely excellent tofu restaurant for dinner, and Im staying with her at my old dormitory tonight. The little boys (age 6 and 4) who live there have grown so much, but are still really cute. Its so cool wandering around the dorm - everythings still the same! Oh, and I managed to get a digital camera yesterday, so hopefully I can upload some photos soon of everything Im describing.
Im REALLY looking forward to going back to church tomorrow and seeing the Christmas production. Catch you all later!
Love,
Lisa
