Invincible Lodge

WOW! On Thursday the 22nd one of the other staff members and myself drove to the airport to pick up the other 12 Summer Staff members! We spent almost all day....no, we did spend all day at the airport! Some flights were delayed but that gave us a perfect time to get to know one another! At 3:20pm when the final person arrived we were given an envelope, inside were directions to our next destination! We loaded up the trucks and began to drive. Well, over the weekend Greeley/Windsor/Galeton, had some pretty gnarly tornadoes! Thankfully the REACH Headquarters were not damaged in the storms. So, the storms caused traffic in Denver to get seriously heavy, and it took us awhile to arrive at our destination. I was driving "Big Red", which is my crew's F-250, we got through Denver and started to climb the "foothills" know as the ROCKY MOUNTAINS!!!! As we started to climb, it started to rain, that rain then turned to small hail as we got higher, then SLEET, and finally as we enter the Invincible Lodge, SNOOOOWWWW!!! All or most or you know I have never seen snow in my life, so needless to say I was pretty excited. We spent Thursday - Sunday at the Invincible Lodge, doing lots of activities with our crews, getting to know one another. I got to make a SNOW ANGEL and tried my hardest to "slide" on some snow, well the snow was about 2 to 3 feet deep in parts, so I naturally just sank as soon as I jumped on it! Once we left the lodge Sunday, we went to eat lunch at Subway, and from there to a Colorado Rockies baseball game against the NY Mets! They WON!!! We then arrived back at REACH Headquarters Sunday afternoon.

We have now begun the training process. Everyone here is really awesome, and I am so excited to be a part of this amazing Ministry again this summer! God is going to do some AMAZING things in the short 12 weeks we are together! Please keep all of us in your prayers, and thoughts.
