We are FINALLY in Bangkok! It feels as though I have been traveling for days now...even the boys are starting to smell a little, uh, less than fresh. Our connections to get here have just been brutal, with layovers at every airport being at least 5 hours. Our stop in Seattle wasn't too bad; Chris (head instructor at Arashi Do, where I train) had a mini tour set up for us, so we went to see Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee's grave site, the "infamous" fish market, the Seattle Space Needle, and of course...STARBUCKS. Apparently Brian and I are the only losers who love coffee enough to have our pictures taken outside the original Starbucks. Diana, Kassey, I know you two are salivating right now, haha

After only sleeping about 3 hours before leaving Edmonton, I was definitely looking forward to passing out on the flight from Seattle to Seoul (which was about 11 hours). You can imagine my frustration when I could not sleep AT ALL. Diana, I thought of you! It didn't help that Tony was completely passed out for the entire flight beside me, with the brief moments he woke up to eat and ask me if I have slept at all yet. He later would tell me the look on my face when I said "No" was a mix of anger, sadness, frustration, giddiness and hysteria all rolled into one.

Well we are off to Koh Samui in a couple hours, the island where the WMC mauy thai camp is located. I'll keep you posted the moment I get a chance to exit an airport...still feels a little surreal!

Next entry: Eat, sleep, breathe muay thai....
