2008-07-10, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

We arrived in the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. Very busy city, full of mopeds. The hostel we were staying in wasn't up to much. Michelle found an Ant in her sandwich!! Though it was Phnom Penh where we learned more about the tragic history of Cambodia.

We went for a tour to the S21 prision where a number of cambodians were held and tortured. Roms left untouched since those tragic days. Sent shivers down your spine. Very emotional experience.

The next stage was the visit to the killing fields. Where thousands of bodies where once found. victims where brought here to be killed and burried. up to 300 per day. a Monument stands in the middle with hundreds if skulls stacked inside as a memorial to those who lost there lives all beacuse of paranoia of the government at that time.
