I wanted to have a chance to explore a bit more of my own area before taking off to Asia, and also have a chance to spend time with my friends before I vanish off into the great unknown. I had missed out on going on the Capilano tour during the National Managers' Forum, so I organized a small hike down there.
We met up at the Lonsdale Quay, and I was happy to see 7 people showed up even though it was raining a little, and the skies were overcast and gloomy.
We explored the fish hatchery, walked over several bridges (including one built over a huge pipe), went shutter-bug crazy at the huge dam, and hiked an extra 5km or so up to Park Royal just because we could. The weather cleared up an hour or so after we arrived, and it turned out to be a wonderful day.
... it also made me realize if I plan on hiking a mountain in China, I need to start getting into better shape!
