aww guys, I've just had the funniest night ever!
went along to my salsa dancing class as per usual only for us all to discover that the lights in the room weren't working.
so we were all standing around wondering what was goign to happen next when someone had inspiration and suggested doing the class outside on the basketball court!
Now, I know you brits are going to laugh and say it's still quite warm out there (after all we're still in the high teens) but even I have taken to wearing a coat and have even bought a scarf! It's cold, honest!
well whilst Vik was trying to set up the music outside Chris decided to do a warm up... now I'm not sure what this was called but sounded very similar to the pasta rigatoni and involved a lot of pelvic gyrating and was absolutely hilarious to a bunch of cold self conscious beginner salsa dancers... even chris ended up feeling very self conscious without the music :)
once the music got started we swiftly moved on and pretended it never happened...
So, here we all were, prancing about outside in the dark under the floodlight with an ultra sensitive ghetto blaster skipping every other beat... if only there was a camera handy eh?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I tell you what though... turns are 100 times harder when done on gravel!
but as a consequence we did get invited to go to the next class that was on so I ended up doing 2 hours of salsa... it was amazing!!! I'm SO happy!!! :oD
anyway, it's half passed midnight and I'm flying to melbourne tomorrow... must get sleep... wish you'd all been there... looking back on what I've written, I think it's perhaps one of those "you had to be there" evenings :)
