Only stayed in Railay 1 night (2 many mozzies!) then took another boat to Koh Phi Phi. This island has a very Ibiza/Tenerife feel to it with its many English style bars, fliers being handed out on every corner and awful smells!! It seems that after the Tsunami hit in 2004 everything was put back up in a hurry, there are still large areas of debris and the drainage system is terrible, especially after heavy rain - resulting in the putrid smells! Myself, Tracey and Emma all ended up with a very bad case of what we think was food poisoning after our first night there. 4am and we were all up being violently sick etc. This was definitely not good for Tracey and I as we were both really sick but only one bathroom! This lasted for about 3 days. Once we had more or less recovered we went on another snorkelling trip which took us to Maya Bay where Leonardo Di Caprio's "The Beach" was filmed. The beach there was beautiful with the whitest, softest sand I have ever seen, again surrounded by limestone rocks and cliffs. Had a wander around before heading off in the boat to catch sunset.
