Journey From Hell!! Oh Boy what a journey we had down to Krabi! We left Koh Tao on 24 April at 8.30pm on the 'ferry'. When we arrived we were directed to the lower section of the boat. There was literally 3 feet between the floor and the ceiling, the 'beds' were straw mats on the concrete floor, no bedding or pillows. We were like stowaways! Few cockroaches down there too. We set off at 8.30pm and by 9.15pm I thought I was going to see my Massaman curry again! The sea was so rough we didn't think the boat was going to make it, going by the dodgy creeking noises, it was like something from 'The Perfect Storm'! This went on for most of the night. I spent the majority of the night with my head hanging out the window whilke trying not to inhale too many engine fumes. 10.5 hours later we arrived at the port. We have never been so glad to get off a boat before. The majority of passengers looked a bit green around the gills and the boat rocking motion lasted the majority of that day! Arrival in Krabi We eventually arrived in Railay, Krabi after another 2 short boat rides, fortunately not on the stowaway boat! Railay is stunning! Beautiful beach surrounded by giant limestone formations. I was pretty snap happy there! Got eaten alive by mozzies within 15 minutes of arriving. We atayed pretty much in the jungle, surrounded by palm trees and massive limestone cliffs. Myself, Tracey and Emma hired a tri kayak and went exploring round the bays and cliffs, that was great fun.
