We’re off to Prince Edward Island
Nothing much to read here. We drove for a long time, stopped for a Lobster based lunch then drove some more. The ferry over to PEI is not running yet, it doesn’t start until May. Something to do with all the ice in the way and the lack of demand. Luckily they built a 13 mile bridge so we used that. We eventually got to our destination of Charlottetown where we checked in to the Hostel before heading out to explore the city. We tested some local ale from the Gahan Pub, it passed. Then we went for an authentic English curry at the Churchill pub. Not a bad attempt at a curry and we’ve certainly had worst. Then it was back to the hostel which we’ll tell you more about tomorrow. Apparently Anne of Green Gables had lived nearby (apart from that she’s not real). Ronnie remembers the story, Ed had never even heard of it because he’s a boy. In the same way that women wouldn't buy a Haynes manual just to read (even if they don’t own that particular car), blokes do not read made up fairytales about ginger Canadian girls. More about Anne later when we try to track her down (again despite the fact that she’s not real).
